Blades aim at Nkana

COACH Enos Silwimba says Konkola Blades are determined to eliminate Nkana from the Barclays Cup.
The teams meet in the Barclays Cup semi-finals next Saturday at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.
Silwimba, in an interview in Chililabombwe yesterday, described the draw with Nkana as interesting.
“Nkana is a very good side although we beat them 1-0 here in a league match. We have to work extra hard to beat them and reach the finals,” he said.
Silwimba said ‘Sharp’ Blades are ready to meet any opponent in the Barclays Cup.
And Nkana assistant coach Zeddy Saileti described the clash against Blades as fair.
“It is a fair draw, 50-50 because we both play in the Super Division.
All the teams want to win silverware, so it is going to be tough,” said Saileti, whose team beat Blades 2-1 in a Super Division match in Kitwe.
Both Blades and Nkana are yet to win the Barclays Cup.
Meanwhile, Zesco United coach George Lwandamina has urged his players not to underrate Napsa Stars.
“We have played Napsa twice this year and we have beaten them in both games, so the draw may just create inertia in the boys making them not work hard but it is our duty as the technical bench to remind them that some of the targets we have set are to win the Barclays Cup so there is no time to relax,” Lwandamina said.
Zesco beat Napsa 1-0 in Lusaka in a Super Division match and 2-0 in Ndola.
Zesco and Napsa have four Barclays Cup titles between them – three for the former and one for the latter.
The Barclays Cup winners will pocket K250,000.
