Blackmailers go for ministers

UNSCRUPULOUS people are maligning some ministers and demanding huge sums of money failure to which they are threatening to publish malicious stories about them with one minister nearly swindled out of K150, 000 recently. And to make the pension system financially sustainable and provide social security to retirees, Government will review and amend relevant legislation. In an interview, Chief Government Spokesperson Chushi Kasanda said some crooked people recently tried to extort K150, 000 from a named minister after threatening to publish false information about him on social media. But the targeted minister challenged the crooked individual to go ahead and publish the information if it was factual.
Ms Kasanda said it is unfortunate that there is a cartel working with some unprofessional media personnel plotting to bring down some ministers by fabricating scandalous information about them. “The issue we have is that there is a certain clique working claiming to be whistleblowers, we know what is going on.
