Big flyers off as rugby league returns

THE National Rugby League briefly returns to action today with Green Eagles and ‘Spoilers’ Kitwe Playing Field (KPF) both seeking to close the gap on top three teams when they face tricky Nchanga and Konkola, respectively, in rescheduled Week 13 encounters. The team have in the last two weeks been engaged in the Owen ‘OJ’ Busange and Mufulira Sevens Championships in Chililabombwe and Mufulira, respectively. And this weekend, they were expected to do battle in the Inspector General Sevens tournament, which has, however, been cancelled and hence the rescheduled games being played today.
Leaders Red Arrows, second-placed Diggers and Mufulira are all out of action as their games have been postponed.
