Bauleni: Township occupied by retirees

THE famous Miti’s ‘T’ Junction Grocery has existed in Bauleni township for over 50 years.

NKOLE NKOLE, Lusaka
WHEN I meet Dingelizwe Saulosi Chipeta, he is still in his brown house robe having his breakfast in the middle of the morning.
On the dining table is jam, peanut butter and some honey for his tea. He sips his porridge as I introduce myself and winds up his conversation with another senior citizen from Bauleni who is paying him a visit.
As our interview begins, he tells me he arrived in Bauleni in 1993 and before that was living in a house near the Lusaka Central Prison.
He is 83, with his faculties in order and an impressively sharp memory.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
