B1 mesmerises Atlanta

MUSICIAN Bruce Simbwalanga, popularly known as B1, is in the United States where he is expected to hold a number of shows.
B1, who is expected to perform tonight at a fundraising event in Washington DC, has already held one show in Atlanta where he performed alongside OC Oscillation.
The duo preformed at a fundraising event organised by Touch of an Angel and One Dream Foundation; charity organisations founded by Zambians living in the United States.
Zambians in Atlanta danced the night away as B1 sang some of his popular songs such as ‘Perfecto’ and ‘Sikiliti ku Bed’.
OC Oscillation also put up a good performance and wowed the crowd with his well-known dancing prowess.
B1 is on April 4 expected to perform at another fundraiser at the Anice Inn in Orlando, Florida.
Orlando has a sizeable Zambian population.
One of the people behind the Orlando show, DJ Oblack, said tickets for the show were selling fast.
“The Orlando show is going to be a big event, looking at the number of tickets that have already been sold. Again, One Dream Foundation and Touch of an Angel have come together to fundraise for underprivileged people back home,” he said.
One Dream Foundation was founded by Betty and Oliver Chibwe in 2007 and has been involved in a number of projects in Zambia.
Touch of an Angel, on the other hand, was founded by Mutale Chanda in 2007. Ms Chanda told Weekend Mail from Atlanta recently that her charity is mainly focused on providing basic necessities to new born babies in Zambia.
