Armed UPND attack Northmead traders

CHOMBA MUSIKA, CAROLINE KALOMBE, Lusaka
UNITED Party for National Development (UPND) cadres armed with a gun, stones, machetes and hammers yesterday smashed two vehicles belonging to car dealers at Northmead shopping complex in Lusaka without provocation.
The cadres, who were in a convoy of eight UPND-branded vehicles, also ripped a piece of Patriotic Front (PF) chitenge material before smashing windows of a building where the ruling party’s campaign material was hanged.
Fearing the rage of the armed cadres, some of whom were clad in the trademark red UPND regalia, the car dealers, who are also PF sympathisers, fled the scene and sought refuge in the nearby shops.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm
