Alliance Francaise has new Total art gallery

A NEW art gallery at the Alliance Francaise of Lusaka opened with an inaugural exhibition under the theme ‘Outside In’, which showcased works from seven Zambian artists.
The gallery, which is in a new building, has been supported by Total Energies.
The Total Energies Art Gallery is located within the Alliance Francaise of Lusaka premises and is open to both local and international artists wishing to exhibit.
Even more significant, there will be no entrance fee as a number of exhibitions are already lined up until the end of the year.
The ‘Outside In’ Art Exhibition, which opened on September 30, is expected to run for seven weeks and brings together a collection of local photographers and artists.
“We continue to allow cultural exchange and though we have seen tough times with the COVID-19 taking a toll on us as a cultural centre in the past year, we are grateful to Total Energies for their continued support and consideration to build an art gallery when we called on them,” Alliance Francaise director Nail Muniglia said.
