THE first touch of the ball in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals is set to take place at Paul Biva Stadium in Yaoundé in Cameroon.
This Africa Cup of Nations promises to be the biggest event to date.
The host nation will be the first country in the history of the event to have 24 teams contending for the trophy.
The tournament starts on June 15 and ends on July 13,
Match day five will be happening between November 12 and 20.
In the previous match day Zambia were beaten 2-1 by Guinea-Bissau.
A total of 24 games will be played during this time. Match day six will taking place next year between the March 18 and 26.
In Chipolopolo’s upcoming Africa cup of Nations qualifying game against Mozambique in Maputo on Sunday, coach Sven Vandenbroeck will want to take some points home.
Will Vandenbroeck make the same mistake and name an unchanged squad against Mozambique? This might be a good opportunity to try some different combinations on the field even with an unchanged team.
Zambia are currently bottom of their group in Group K in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying race.
This will be the second last match for Zambia in the qualifying rounds. The last game will be in March 2019 where they will take on Namibia.
Zambians and Africa is looking forward to the CAF finals in 2019.
This will be a good platform for countries to gain valuable experience after the embarrassing knock out of all the Africa teams who participated in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
