AfDB, Japan plan Africa’s development

THE African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Government of Japan on Friday announced the setting up of a joint fund to provide US$3 billion for private sector development in Africa over the next three years.
The resources for boosting economic growth and fighting poverty on the continent will be provided under the third phase of the Enhanced Private Sector Assistance for Africa (EPSA) initiative.
Japanese Minister of Finance Taku Otsuka said AfDB and his government have agreed to upgrade the joint EPSA initiative, which has been at the core of the long-standing partnership, helping boost private sector-led growth in Africa.READ MORE
