GOVERNMENT has identified sections of roads, culverts and bridges in Copperbelt Province requiring maintenance, rehabilitation and urgent intervention following a joint infrastructure inspection aimed at improving road safety and disaster preparedness.
Copperbelt Province Permanent Secretary Lawrence Mwanza said this exercise covered key infrastructure points, including Luanshya Turn-off bridges and culverts along the Ndola–Kitwe dual carriageway, Balumamba, Maposa, Kakolo, Chibuluma roads and sections of Independence Avenue, among others.
He said the team has identified sections requiring routine maintenance and rehabilitation, while some areas need urgent intervention to ensure safe passage for road-users and to enhance resilience against adverse weather conditions.
Mr Mwanza said the findings have also been informed by concerns raised by members of the public regarding the state of roads and bridges across the province…..https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
