TO PROMOTE and preserve the legacy of Zambia’s first President Kenneth Kaunda, the National Museums Board (NMB) is working to establish a memorial museum named after him.
NMB director general George Mudenda says currently, an ideal piece of land for the Kenneth Kaunda memorial museum is being sought.
Mr Mudenda said this during the centennial gala dinner and launch of Kenneth Kaunda Legacy Foundation on Friday.
The KK Legacy Foundation, whose chairperson is former Supreme Court Judge Lombe Chibesakunda, is a charity organisation.
Mr Mudenda said NMB, under the Ministry of Tourism and in collaboration with the Kaunda family and now the launched legacy foundation, remains committed to establishing the Kenneth Kaunda memorial museum.
“Having this museum will not only help to preserve the heritage left for us by our great leader but will also offer the Zambians another tourism product for them to explore and create memorable moments for the visitors,” he said…https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
