‘Pick lessons from AfCON

MINISTER of Youth, Sport and Arts Elvis Nkandu has urged the national team to pick lessons from their failure to beat Morocco and Tanzania at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AfCON) and record desired results when they meet the two teams in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
And Nkandu has called for an end to tribal talk in football.
Zambia battled to 1-1 draws apiece with Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Tanzania before suffering a 1-0 loss to Morocco in Group F matches at Laurent Pokou Stadium in San Pedro, Ivory Coast, to bow out of the competition.
Nkandu said in an interview yesterday that the continental championship provided an opportunity for the technical bench to study the two teams and prepare well for the World Cup qualifiers.
The World Cup qualifiers will resume with Zambia travelling to Morocco on June 3 before hosting Tanzania a week later…https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/
