STEVEN MVULA, Parliament
PARLIAMENT heard yesterday that there are 852 foreigners who own guns in Zambia.
Minister of Home Affairs Stephen Kampyongo told the House that foreigners who are established residents of the country are by law allowed to own firearms.
Mr Kampyongo was responding to Kabwe Central Member of Parliament (MP) Tutwa Ngulube (PF) who wanted to know if there are any foreigners who own guns in Zambia.
“There are 852 different firearms in the hands of 852 foreigners. These firearms are pistols, rifles and other permissible ones,” he said.
