5 firms pre-qualify for Indeni equity

FIVE companies have been pre-qualified for the strategic equity partner in Indeni Petroleum Refinery Company Limited, the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) has said.
The five shortlisted companies out of the seven that had submitted applications for pre-qualification are Glencore Energy Limited of the United Kingdom, China Petroleum Technology and Development Corporation of China, Joint Stock Company Global Security of Russia.
Others are Sahara Energy Resources Limited of the United Kingdom; and Beijing Huiersanji Green Chem-Tech Company Limited and Avic International Holding Corporation Consortium of China.
IDC chief executive officer Mateyo Kaluba said the corporation envisions that a strong equity partner will upscale the production capacity of Indeni to meet the nation’s petroleum demand for the future.
