DEPUTY Minister of Education, Science, Vocational Training and Early Education David Mabumba yesterday launched the US$3 million Lufwanyama education project aimed at reducing illiteracy and poverty in the district.
Mr Mabumba said in Lufwanyama yesterday that the project, to cover three years, focuses on key infrastructure development that includes staff houses, classrooms and water sanitation facilities.
He said Save the Children, a non-governmental organisation, has been supporting the ministry in Early Childhood Education policy and curriculum development.
