33 foreigners nabbed for illegal stay

THE Immigration Department has arrested 33 foreigners for alleged unlawful entry and stay in Zambia.
The department has also apprehended 10 Tanzanians in Kitwe for allegedly trading without permits.
Immigration Department public relations officer Namati Nshinka said in a statement yesterday that nine Congolese, four Ugandans, three Tanzanians, three Malawians and two Namibians were arrested over unlawful entry in the country.
Mr Nshinka said the arrests were executed between Friday and Sunday countrywide.
