250 ditch opposition for

PF MEMBERS

TEDDY KUYELA, Lusaka
OVER 250 members of the opposition  MMD, United Party for National Development and Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) in Lusaka have defected to the ruling Patriotic Front (PF).
Paul Banda, a UPND member who spoke on behalf of other defectors, said they have decided to leave the opposition because it does not give hope to Zambians.
“Time has now come for all Zambians to join hands and support President Lungu in his effort to develop Zambia.
“We have to work together so that this country can fully develop,” he said.
And PF Lusaka Province youth chairperson Kennedy Kamba, who received the defectors, said it is evident that President Lungu’s works have continued to attract new members to the party.
Mr Kamba said although President Lungu has been in office for a year [today], his works speak volumes.
