UNFPA provides essential services at the José María Vargas Sports Complex in La Guaira in the aftermath of the earthquakes.
In coordination with national authorities and partners, UNFPA is supporting women and girls affected by the earthquakes to access vital services including maternal health services and emergency obstetric care to prevent maternal deaths; access to contraceptives and menstrual health items; and gender-based violence prevention and support, including the clinical management of rape.
