L/stone to host global festival

ZAMBIA will host the upcoming Livingstone International Cultural Arts Festival (LICAF) from Friday to Saturday this week.
The festival is set to showcase the country’s rich cultural heritage, artistic excellence and creative industries, while also promoting cultural exchange and regional integration.
LICAF 2026 will bring together artists, cultural practitioners and visitors from across the country and beyond. The two days of the event will be of immersive cultural experiences, including traditional performances, exhibitions, music, dance and culinary displays.
Ministry of Tourism Permanent Secretary Evans Muhanga said the festival is important in positioning Zambia as a leading cultural tourism destination.
“The Livingstone International Cultural Arts Festival is a vital platform for celebrating our diverse cultural identity and showcasing Zambia’s creative talent to the world,” Mr Luhanga said.
“As Government, we remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote cultural tourism and empower our creative sector.”
