Emulate Ngalande’s hard work, HH urges Zambians

PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has urged Zambians to emulate late former cabinet minister Matiya Ngalande’s hard work, loyalty, humility and patriotism.
Yesterday, family and friends gathered at Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Cross for Mr Ngalande’s funeral church service, who was later put to rest at Leopards Hill Memorial Park.
Arrested twice during the struggle for Zambia’s independence, the senior citizen died on Wednesday last week at the age of 93.
Mr Ngalande served as Minister of State for Luapula Province in 1968 and was later appointed Minister for Northern Province in 1975 in the UNIP government.
He equally served in the MMD administration between 1991 and 1996 as Deputy Minister in the Office of the Vice-President, and in the ministries of Community Development and Social Services and Communications and Transport…https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
