HH urges practical economic solutions ahead of AU summit

PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has called for a shift from political rhetoric to practical economic solutions that uplift the lives of African citizens.
He said this in a statement yesterday ahead of the President’s attendance of the African Union (AU) 39th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government slated for February 14 to 15.
According to State House chief communications specialist Clayson Hamasaka, the head of State also believes that durable peace and stability remain indispensable foundations for accelerated development.
President Hichilema has consistently stated that insecurity anywhere on the continent constitutes insecurity everywhere.
The President is expected in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to participate in the assembly convened under the theme
