The organisations include the Anti-Political Violence Association of Zambia, Gears Initiative Zambia, Community Action against Political Violence, and Kindness in Disability Support.
The group says the honour is in recognition of the head of State’s commitment to promoting peace and stability in Zambia, a move it describes as a significant step to healing the nation’s political wounds.
The award ceremony, which will serve as a platform for stakeholders to reaffirm their commitment to peace and stability in Zambia, is expected to bring together government officials, diplomats and civil society leaders to celebrate Mr Hichilema’s achievements.
The honour comes at a critical time when the nation is strengthening its democratic institutions and promoting national unity.
President Hichilema’s leadership is seen as crucial in this process.
The consortium disclosed their plan to award the President yesterday when they called on Ministry of Information and Media Permanent Secretary Thabo Kawana.
