POWER Dynamos will not accept bids for goalkeeper Lawrence Mulenga as they aim to challenge for the 2025/26 CAF Champions League title and defend the Super League crown.
Chief executive officer Gibson Chaloba confirmed in an interview yesterday that they received a bid from rivals Zesco United and made it clear that Mulenga is not for sale.
“Of course it is true Zesco has expressed interest in Lawrence.
And as a club, we appreciate that a team like Zesco wants our player. We are excited about it but the player still has a contract with us,” he said.
“We have made it clear that he is not for sale because where we are going, we have a huge task. We will be playing in CAF and I think this is not a time to let go of a player like him. I mean Mulenga is Zambia one (national team goalkeeper). We need his experience.”
Media reports alleged that Mulenga is interested in the move to Zesco, where he will be guaranteed a starting place, which will help him maintain his position in the national team ahead of the 2025 Morocco Africa Cup of Nations in December…https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
