Raff Military Textile, a leading Turkish defence and tactical textile manufacturer, has intensified its focus on the African continent with a strategic visit to Zambia aimed at strengthening defence and industrial partnerships.

The company’s delegation, led by General Manager Eray Yükseloğlu, is holding high-level meetings with Zambian defence and industry stakeholders.

The move is part of a broader effort to align with Zambia’s defence needs and explore long-term cooperation opportunities in the security and textile sectors.

“Zambia represents a country with a clear institutional structure and a stable outlook,” said Yükseloğlu. “We are here not just to introduce ourselves, but to listen, understand, and see where we can genuinely contribute. Our aim is to build upon existing relationships with sincerity and strategic intent.”

Raff Military Textile, accredited under Turkey’s Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB), is known for delivering custom-tailored tactical gear and uniforms to armed forces and security agencies across Africa and the Middle East. The company emphasises sustainability, local adaptation, and capacity-building in its foreign engagements.

Zambia, with its stable governance and well-organised defence institutions, has emerged as a priority destination in Raff’s Africa strategy, which targets the continent’s top five defence markets.

During the visit, Raff officials are exploring collaboration avenues in local production, technology transfer, and skills development, reinforcing a partnership-driven model over transactional business.

The Lusaka visit marks a new chapter in Raff Military Textile’s African expansion and underlines its ambition to play a constructive role in Zambia’s defence-industrial ecosystem.
