Households need to prepare to stock enough water – Mposha

WHILE acknowledging the “bigger problem” that is there, in terms of Lusaka having consistent water supply, Minister of Water Development and Sanitation Mike Mposha has ruled out a possibility of a massive shutdown in the commodity’s supply.
“But because of the Zesco load management that is [hurting] consistent water supply, the possibility that we will have some degree of inconvenience is there,” the minister said when he toured Iolanda Water Treatment Plant Two in Kafue and other Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company (LWSC) facilities yesterday.
On account of electricity load-shedding, LWSC installations have been negatively impacted, leading to the water utility announcing rationing of the commodity in the capital city.
Mr Mposha said every household needs to prepare to stock enough water.
