CAR president calls for strengthening of bilateral ties

CENTRAL African Republic President Faustin-Archange Touadéra says there is need to strengthen bilateral relations particularly in defence and security cooperation between Zambia and that country.
Speaking yesterday in Bangui, when Zambia’s Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) Paulu Kosita presented his letters of credence as envoy to that country on a non-residential basis, President Touadéra urged the diplomat to work towards expediting the signing of the memorandum of understanding on defence and security cooperation between the two countries.In a statement, President Touadéra expressed gratitude to Zambia for contributing troops to the Central African Republic under the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in the Central African Republic (MUNISCA).
And Mr Kosita pledged to work hard to foster diplomatic relations between Zambia and the Central African Republic.
