A 60-YEAR-OLD man of Ndola has testified how his 27-year-old son assaulted him with a brazier while singing the popular song Nalitumpa Ine by 4 na 5 featuring rapper Slap Dee.
Benson Kaumba Jnr, of Ndola’s Mapalo, is facing one count of occasioning actual bodily harm (OABH).
This is after he allegedly assaulted his father, Benson Kaumba Snr, in March after he advised him to stop coming home late. This was after the son got home around 04:00 hours.
When the case came up before Ndola magistrate Charles Chanda, Mr Kaumba told the court that on the material day, he was cleaning his shoes when he saw the accused person arriving home around 04:00 hours.
Mr Kaumba said when his son entered the house, he inquired why he was coming home at such an awkward time.
He said instead of answering, his son asked his father where he was going at that time.
“I was simply advising him to stop coming home at awkward times as it was dangerous, but instead, he got a brazier and started hitting me on the head and in the process assaulted me,” the father narrated.
Mr Kaumba said following his son’s behaviour, he called Crime Prevention Officers (CPU), who took him to Mapalo Police Station.
He said while he was being apprehended, his son spat saliva on his face…https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
