The NASDEC Sports Complex in Lusaka was last Saturday a hive of activity as families and friends came out to spend a day of fun at the Fruiticana Color Fest.
Musicians such as Xaven and Yo Maps were on hand to provide musical entertainment, which was enthusiastically received by the excited fans.
Toddlers also had space to enjoy the fun as vendors had brought on age appropriate entertainment in the form of Jumping castles, water slides and quad bikes.
A horse riding opportunity was also available for the young and old to experience while food was provided by different food vendors such as Meals on Wheels.

Speaking in an interview during the show, Boston Chambishi, who is the Events Coordinator and Creative Brand Director for Digital Events, who were the main organisers of the event, said it was designed to provide opportunities for family bonding as well as business networking.
“This is our 8th year running, and we are always happy to see families come out in the open and have so much fun. At the same time, we ensure the youth are having fun responsibly and staying away from vices such as alcohol and drugs,” he said.
While Fruticana were the main sponsors, co-sponsors also included Yoyo Foods. Yoyo foods BTL executive, Ignatius Banda said the joy and excitement exhibited by families was always a boost for the company to come back every year and be co-sponsors.
“We bring together the youths for their vibrancy and good energy. We have a special message for our youths, and that’s to take it easy, have fun, focus on education as there is the right time for everything,” he said.
And Donase Mwanza, Events Executive under Big Tree brands was on hand to ensure revellers tasted the different flavours of noodles.
“We want our consumers to eat healthy and have different flavours for them to sample so that they can find their best choice,” She said.
