This follows the establishment of a committee to oversee the rehabilitation of the hospital road, which is currently in a deplorable state.
About K9.8 million is required for the rehabilitation of the road with the Ministry of Health committing K2.8 million to facilitate the works.
Hospital management has also requested for an additional K6.8 million from the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development and is currently waiting for the response.
KTH senior medical superintendent Seke Kazuma said in an interview that the money raised so far will be used to excavate the dilapidated road so that works can progress.
“About K370, 000 was raised as at last Wednesday which will help to kick-start the project,” he said…https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
