ZAMMSA settles land dispute with former Medical Stores Limited employees

A NEAR three-decade stand-off between Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) and former Medical Stores Limited (MSL) employees over ownership of land in Lusaka’s Makeni has been settled.
In December 1997, MSL awarded offer letters to some employees for the purchase of part of the land on subdivision REM67D of farm 396A in Makeni.
The matter has dragged for 26 years until the current ZAMMSA board of directors made a resolution during their quarterly meeting held on March 19 this year.
ZAMMSA senior manager – corporate communications Bradley Chingobe said this in a statement yesterday.
“ZAMMSA has finally resolved and put to rest a 26-year- old land stand-off between the agency and former Medical Stores Limited (MSL) members of staff concerning the ownership of land in Lusaka’s Makeni area,” he said.
