Conjunctivitis cases reported in Chipata, Lumezi

THE number of districts in Eastern Province affected by conjunctivitis – an eye disease – has risen after Chipata and Lumezi also reported cases.
Over 200 new cases have since been recorded in the last 24 hours from four districts in Eastern Province.
Ministry of Health Eastern Province public health specialist Charles Fanaka revealed that cases are now standing at over 2,000.
“Apart from the earlier announced districts, Mambwe and Chadiza, new cases have been recorded in Chipata and Lumezi districts,” he said.
Dr Fanaka told Breeze FM in Chipata that of the new 221 new cases, Mambwe has reported highest at 148, Chipata recording 28. Chadiza has five and Lumezi 48 cases….https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
