Shikapwasha wife committed to High Court

FORMER Zambia Air Force (ZAF) Commander Ronnie Shikapwasha’s wife, Jane Lusengo, has been committed to the High Court for trial in a matter she is accused of shooting dead her husband.
Ms Lusengo, 73, is charged with murder, an offence attracting up to life imprisonment.
Allegations are that on January 15, 2024, the accused murdered Retired Lieutenant General Shikapwasha.
According to police, the housewife allegedly shot Gen Shikapwasha using a doublebarrel shotgun at the couple’s Ibex Hill house.
After the shooting, the 76-year-old former minister of Information and Broadcasting was rushed to Maina Soko Medical Centre, where he died the following day.
Yesterday, the accused appeared before the Lusaka Magistrates Court charged with murder.
