Samukonga settles for silver

ZAMBIA’S sprinter Muzala Samukonga last night settled for silver in the Ghana African Games 400m final won by Chidi Okezie of Nigeria.
Okezie ran 45.06 seconds while Africa and Commonwealth Games champion Samukonga clocked 45:37 seconds, with Diof Tidiane of Senegal finishing third on 45:47 seconds.
With a powerful surge from the 200m mark onwards, Okezie swiftly closed the gap on his competitors and surged ahead, leveraging his long strides to propel himself to the finish line.
