Mopani to create 3,000 jobs – Kabuswe

MINISTER of Mines and Minerals Development Paul Kabuswe says the revitalised Mopani Copper Mines (MCM) is projected to generate 2,000 direct jobs and an additional 1,000 indirect employment opportunities.
President Hakainde Hichilema is today expected to officially hand over Mopani to new equity partners, Abu Dhabi’s International Resources Holding (IRH), which has taken a 51 percent stake in the mine.
The IRH deal is worth US$1.1 with a substantial portion of it being allocated to clearing arrears owed to contractors, suppliers and resolving debt obligations to Glencore….https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
