Man, 22, gets life sentence for axing toddler stepson over eating too much

A 22-year-old man of Mambwe has been sentenced to life imprisonment with hard labour for axing his one-and-halfyear-old stepchild to death for allegedly eating too much food in his house.
Justin Mtonga, of Sign farms under Chief Jumbe, axed his stepson, Laston Mbewe, on the head and dumped his body on the road in September 2023 after accusing him of having too much appetite.
