Woman’s refusal to be handcuffed causes drama at Matero court

There was drama in Matero Local Court as three court officials struggled for about fifteen minutes to handcuff an elderly woman who had interfered in the court process.
The drama started when the woman, Prisca Mweshi, was told by Magistrate Harriet Mulenga to get a certificate of judgment for her daughter, Olipa Nampamba, whom she detained for hurling insults on a Martha Musonda.
Mweshi, however, declined to get the certificate of judgement and verbally expressed her dissatisfaction over the judgement passed by the court.
