A SIGNIFICANT appreciation of the Kwacha against the United States dollar has resulted in reduced fuel prices in the country, despite the price of the commodity increasing on the international market last month.
However, the price of kerosene has been maintained at K20.44 per litre.
Energy Regulation Board (ERB) chairperson Reynolds Bowa, in a statement yesterday announcing the revised petroleum pump prices for this month, linked the downward adjustments to the performance of the local currency against major convertibles.
The national uniform pump prices for this month are such that a litre of petrol is costing K31.12 from K34.19, diesel is now at K28.78 from K32.15 while Jet A-1 is selling at K28.23 as compared to K32.69 last month…https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
