STRUGGLING Super League side Nkana have turned to striker Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba in a bid to escape relegation.
The landlord, as he is popularly known at Nkana Stadium, has made a sensational return to his childhood side for the third time after spending one-and-half years at another topflight side, Kansanshi Dynamos.
Chief executive officer Kelvin Mutafu said in an interview yesterday that Kampamba has been offered a two-year contract.
“Kampamba is our son, he is always welcome at Nkana and we cannot neglect him. He has rejoined the club and he will be with us for two seasons. He is looking like someone who really wants to revive his career and we cannot deny him that opportunity,” Mutafu said.
He said the technical bench is impressed with Kampamba’s input.
“He (Kampamba) has been training with the team, and according to reports we have received from the coaches, he is doing well. Our only hope is that he can replicate the same performance on the pitch in competitive matches to help the club,” Mutafu said.
He appealed to Nkana fans to rally behind Kampamba the same way they did before he left to join Kansanshi…https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/
