THE Zambia Swimming Union (ZASU) has engaged the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts on the rehabilitation of the heating system at OYDC Swimming Pool in Lusaka.
The cost of rehabilitating the heating system is US$45,000 (about K1.2 million).
ZASU president Guy Phiri said in an interview yesterday that they have engaged Government through the National Sports Council of Zambia.
“Without a heating system the pool cannot be used for four months of the year as water is too cold.
This puts our swimmers at a distinct disadvantage against swimmers from our neighbouring countries that have all-year pools,” Phiri said.https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
