Mwiimbu says Dubai consulate strategic

MINISTER of Home Affairs and Internal Security Jack Mwiimbu has urged the Zambian consulate in Dubai to capitalise on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) advancements across diverse sectors to contribute significantly to Zambia’s economy.
Mr Mwiimbu noted that UAE is advanced in technology, security, energy and medical services, which the consulate should leverage on to foster job creation in Zambia.
He said this is why Government maintained the consulate in Dubai while establishing a new embassy in Abu Dhabi about 130 kilometres away.
“This underscores the strategic significance placed on nurturing Zambia’s bilateral relations with the United Arab Emirates,” Mr Mwiimbu said when he paid a courtesy call on the Zambian consulate in Dubai and the Northern Emirates of the UAE…
