GREEN Eagles reluctantly sanctioned the departure of Ivorian striker Freddy Michael to Tanzanian giants Simba Sporting Club.
Simba unveiled Michael to the media on Monday.
Prior to his move, Michael was Eagles’ and MTN Super League top scorer with 14 goals, five better than second-placed Andrew Phiri of Maestro United Zambia.
Media and public relations officer Faith Kaira said in a statement issued yesterday that they had no intentions of parting ways with Michael.
Kaira said Michael showed enormous interest in pursuing a fresh challenge with Simba and the Choma-based side reluctantly sanctioned the transfer.
