MPs told to visit grassroots

GOVERNMENT Chief Whip Stafford Mulusa has directed all United Party for National Development (UPND) Members of Parliament (MPs) to use 2024 to get back to the people and explain the achievements scored by the ruling party.
Mr Mulusa said people on the ground are complaining about the performance of the UPND because elected leaders and party functionaries are not going back to the grassroots to explain successes recorded since the party assumed office in 2021.
He said it will be difficult to get back to the people in 2026 if the MPs and party functionaries abandon them now.
“People on the ground have got the right to complain because we are not going back to them as MPs, councillors, council chairpersons and mayors to explain what we have done since we formed government,” Mr Mulusa said…https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
