Lungu insists on eligibility

FORMER President Edgar Lungu has insisted that the petition related to his eligibility to contest elections should be dismissed because the Constitutional Court already pronounced itself over the issues.
Mr Lungu has argued that the petition should be dismissed for being an abuse of court process and res judicata (a matter already adjudicated by a competent court and may not be pursued further).
“This court is res judicata and allowing this matter to proceed would be a breach of the res judicata rule and also an attempt to give a party a chance to re-litigate a matter,” he has submitted through his lawyers Makebi Zulu and Advocates.
“This court should throw out this action and the same should be with costs”.. https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
