A MASAITI district crime prevention officer who wanted to discipline his thieving 17-year-old son got more than he bargained for when police proceeded to take him to court instead of just detaining him for a few days as he had hoped.
It was a peculiar case with the father required to sign bail for him after being charged with breaking into a building, in this case his father’s shop, with intent to commit a felony.
Rogers Mwenya told Ndola Magistrates’ Court that his intention of taking his son to police was for him to spend a few days in custody to deter him from criminal activities..https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
