Zambia on track with WTO policy reforms

MINISTRY of Commerce, Trade and Industry Permanent Secretary John Mulongoti says a number of trade policy reforms have been implemented to conform to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) commitments and obligations.

The organisation has come up with a number of trade policy rules, which member states are supposed to implement. Mr Mulongoti says the WTO rules and principles have been mainstreamed and crystallised in the country’s trade policy framework.

He was speaking in Lusaka on Wednesday during the official opening of the Trade In Services (TIS) capacity-building workshop held at Best Western Hotel in Lusaka.
