FOOTBALL Association of Zambia (FAZ) has appointed Red Arrows chief executive officer Kambani Lungu as Zambian Premier League (ZPL) competitions committee vice-chairman while Mutondo Stars president Evaristo Kabila has also been engaged as committee member.

ZPL separated from FAZ in September this year and is headed by Kephas Katongo.

ZPL is an equivalent of Premier Soccer League in South Africa and English Premier League.

According to the FAZ constitution, the association has powers to appoint members of the ZPL competitions committee while the Katongo-led ZPL can only appoint board members based on the ranking of teams in the preceding season.

Arrows announced the appointment of Lungu through a letter sent to the club by FAZ general secretary Reuben Kamanga.
