REFEREE Evans Mulenga yesterday almost caused the abandonment of a Super League Week 11 match between Nkwazi and Maestro United Zambia (MUZA) after he overruled himself twice.
Mulenga ruled offside Nkwazi striker Emmanuel Chabula’s winner in added time but later changed his mind and awarded a goal after players protested. This did not go well with MUZA, who equally protested the decision. Later, MUZA, who represented the country in the Confederation Cup, agreed to play the last three minutes.
