CHIEF Government Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa says the suspension of 19 Members of Parliament is not unprecedented as it is normal disciplinary procedure. On Tuesday, 19 MPs from
opposition Patriotic Front (PF) and some independents were suspended for gross misconduct and indiscipline. “A lot of comments have been made following the suspension of MPs. The National Assembly as a creature of the Constitution of Zambia is created and clothed with a legal mandate which stipulates how it conducts its business,” Mr Mweetwa said at a media briefing yesterday.
