150 join PF

SYLVESTER CHISHIMBA, Lusaka
OVER 150 people from Movement for Multi-party Democracy (MMD), United Party for National Development (UPND) and the Rainbow Party in Lusaka’s Roma ward 17 have joined the ruling Patriotic Front (PF).
PF national mobilisation committee vice-chairperson Nigel Mpakateni said in an interview after welcoming the new members to the PF that people decided to join the ruling party because of the developmental projects the ruling party has undertaken.
“The people have joined PF because of the good leadership of President Edgar Lungu. They are seeing the infrastructure development going on in the country and this has really touched their hearts. This is very good and encouraging to us as PF,” he said.
Mr Mpakateni said the new members will be included in the party structures to work with other party officials in taking the party forward.
