12 defaulting radio stations off air

THE Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) has suspended broadcasting licences of 12 radio stations for allegedly failing to pay licence fees.It has also revoked a licence for a television station for failing to start operating despite having been given a licence.
IBA board chairperson Justin Mutale told a media briefing yesterday that the action is in line with the IBA Amendment Act No. 26 of 2010.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
